Westland Hialeah by comparison was erected on a 6 acre site after careful coordination and precise phasing . The Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise (FTE) believes toll customers should not be unnecessarily delayed by construction activities. This posed a great challenge for the project team and made for extremely complex maintenance of traffic and maintenance of toll operations plans. Thirteen separate traffic shifts and careful coordination with Toll operations personnel allowed for uninterrupted daily toll collection for over 90,000 vehicles with no major accidents during the 2 year construction schedule.
